This is the Blue Lagoon. We got pounded against the coral when a huge set came in out of nowhere. Bali is very unpredictable and one must be a good strong swimmer to brave the water. We sat on the beach and watched many tourist get pounded on this beach.

Elena LOVES to snorkel. She spent all her time in the water. Even after she got bit by a very protective buck toothed trigger fish!

East Bali

We spent a long weekend in this East Bali getaway. For about 20 bucks a night we had a bungalow right on a nice protected swimming hole where the kids could practice their snorkeling skills without getting pounded by the Bali surf.

Sanur

This is a nice beach with no waves but pretty water and a long board walk that goes for miles. The kids rented these strange boats and I spent the day under a coconut tree recovering from one too many margaritas the night before.

Surf Bali

Elena paddled into that wave there and just popped up like it was nothing. The instructors were super impressed with the girls and they think that they have a great future in surfing.
