The Balinese lunar new year is called Nyepi. The day before Nyepi (a day of silence, no electricity, no fire or cooking) the most difficult of bad spirits , Ogoh Ogoh is celebrated with his own party and paraded through the streets. All the villages collect their sculptures in one place but prior to that the priest in each banjar, or village, must pray.
